San Francisco CalHeat and Hummel signed a 4-year partnership deal making the sportswear brand the official equipment provider of one of the largest team handball clubs in the US. Being one of the most renown brands in our sport, and the most established in the country, Hummel was an obvious choice for SF CalHeat. Originally from Denmark (but founded in Germany in 1923), Hummel has a long tradition of servicing the handball community.

“Nearly all handball players have played with or been exposed to Hummel products at some point in their careers, and it is a great pleasure to partner with them. We were looking for a sportswear partner sharing our core values and Hummel has been extremely supportive as soon as we engaged with them” says Alexandre El-Assad, sponsoring lead for San Francisco CalHeat.

Now that this partnership is sealed, our club will undergo a complete rebranding and renew their apparel with Hummel. “I’m really glad we’ve made this happen and I expect this partnerships to grow even further in the future years”, says our president Bernward Schwarte. We obviously can’t wait to see our teams in brand new uniforms at the upcoming US Nationals (May 8-10 in Detroit, MI). Also, our club will become a strategic partner in the San Francisco Bay Area and California to promote the Hummel product line to its members and partnering schools. In fact, our collaboration had already begun earlier this year as Hummel provided us several of their HMLConcept Pro handballs at our recent 2020 California Cup (Jan 24-26). The feedback from the players and teams was very positive, with an excellent grip, bounce and control. 

With a full line of handball products (apparel, balls, shoes, etc.), we are looking forward to testing and using more Hummel products in the future. Stay tuned for more exciting news!
