After a long and focused search, SF CalHeat is excited to announce the appointment of Nils Effertz to its Board of Directors.

Nils Effertz is a German-American software business executive who spent most of his adult life in the Bay Area. Growing up in Germany, Nils fell in love with the sport of Team Handball and played competitively during his youth. He passed on this passion to his 2 sons, Jacob and Luke, and is committed to growing Handball in the Bay Area and the United States. Currently based in Cologne, Germany, Nils is looking forward to providing CalHeat players opportunities to play in Europe and happy to host fellow handball enthusiasts during local events.

We can’t wait to get Nils acquainted with all our plans and projects, and get him to work for the future of SF CalHeat, its community, and the sport of Team Handball in the U.S.A.
